Dr. Arden Corter has a doctorate in Health Psychology from the University of Auckland. She is a member of the Ontario Psychologists Association and is in supervised practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Arden specializes in supporting individuals through health-related challenges such as diagnosis, treatment and ongoing health management, and in coping with life transitions, stress, habit change, anxiety and depression. Her research has focused on identifying challenges encountered by patients with cancer and supports for their wellbeing. She is currently working clinically at Sunnybrook Hospital’s Patient and Family Support Services as well as in private practice.

Balance Psychology and Wellness Practice

Dr. Ana Bilanovic, is a Psychologist in Private Practice and at the Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre. Ana completed her Doctoral Degree at York University and as part of her doctoral training she also obtained a Health Psychology Diploma. Ana completed her pre-doctoral residency at The Ottawa Hospital where she trained within the Heart Institute, Psychology Consultation Service for Inpatients, and the Eating Disorders Program. Prior to her residency, Ana received clinical training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and York University Psychology Clinic. Through her training Ana has worked with individuals, couples, and groups. She is a core staff member of the Princess Margaret Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic and provides training to graduate students.

Navigate Clinic

Dr. Saunia Ahmad is a clinical health psychologist and founding director of the Toronto Psychology Clinic, a private practice in Toronto. She completed her graduate studies at York University and post-doctoral fellowship in psycho-oncology at Sunnybrook Health Science. She was a collaborator on the Couplelinks project, a randomized control trial evaluating the efficacy of an online couple intervention for young couples with breast cancer. In addition to her role in providing treatment, training, supervision and research, she is involved in advocating for racial justice in mental health.

Dr. Wendy Carter is a registered psychologist who provides psychological assessment and treatment for individuals and couples struggling with a range of difficulties, including depression and anxiety, adjustment to change in health status, childhood and interpersonal trauma and grief and loss. She has a special clinical and research interests in health psychology and has worked with individuals and couples affected by chronic and life-threatening health conditions. She currently works in a hospital-based chronic pain program and maintains a small private practice.

Dr. Wendy Carter Website

Dr. Leeat Granek is a critical health psychologist and an Associate Professor in the School of Health Policy and Management and the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Health at York University. She is also a status faculty in  the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto in the Social and Behavioural Sciences Division. Her research expertise is in the areas of psycho-oncology, healthcare professional well-being, and grief and loss. Recent awards include the Sigmund Koch Award for Early Contribution to the Field of Psychology and  Distinguished Early Career Contributions in Qualitative Inquiry Award, both awarded by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Granek has published more than 90 articles on her research in leading journals including Cancer, JAMA Archives, and Psycho-Oncology.  She frequently writes about her research for the mainstream media in outlets such as The New York Times, Slate Magazine, and The Huffington Post.

York University

Dr. Jillian Satin is a clinical and health psychologist and co-founder of The Well Parents Centre in Toronto, Ontario. She completed her Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology from UBC, clinical internship in Health and Rehabilitation at the London Clinical Psychology Residency Consortium, and a postdoctoral clinical fellowship at the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre. She is a certified perinatal mental health care provider (Postpartum Support International). The focus of her clinical practice is perinatal mental health including fertility, miscarriage and infant loss, pregnancy, postpartum and the early years of parenting. She also provides clinical supervision and consultation in clinical psychology and perinatal mental health.
